Visiting Bay Play
What are your hours?
Monday and Friday to Sunday 10AM–7PM, Thursday 2PM–7PM. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
Where are you located?
3275 Ettie St, Oakland, CA 94608, on the Oakland–Emeryville border and a few minutes from Berkeley.
How much is a day pass, and is there a time limit?
Day passes are $26.95, or $21.95 for toddlers. There's no time limit, but there are no ins and outs: once you leave, your pass ends. Get a day pass.
Do I need to book ahead?
No. You can walk in or book[ in advance online]. On busy weekends there can be a wait to get in if you don't book in advance.(https://bayplay.centeredgeonline.com/areas/areas).
Do I need grip socks?
Yes. Every participant wears Bay Play grip socks. They're $4 a pair and yours to keep, so bring them back on future visits. Please don't bring your own.
Does everyone need a waiver?
Yes, every guest, including adults who aren't playing. Waivers are valid for one year. Sign yours online before you arrive.
Do I have to take my shoes off?
Yes. All guests remove shoes at the entrance, grown-ups included, to keep the floors clean for crawling kids.
Can we bring food?
No outside food or drink, except small snacks. Eating and drinking aren't allowed in the play areas.
What ages is Bay Play for?
All ages. There's a toddler area for crawlers to 3-year-olds, and the playground, ninja course, climbing walls and arcade work for older kids. Kids under 16 must be with an adult. Climbing walls have a 40–300 lb weight range.
Birthday parties
What's included in a party?
Admission, pizza, drinks, grip socks and game cards for every participant, plus a private themed room or mezzanine tables. Packages run from Bronze to Platinum Plus.
What's the minimum party size?
10 participants.
Can we change our headcount?
Yes, until the Tuesday before your party. It's fine to book a smaller number and add guests later.
Can we bring a cake or decorations?
Cake or cupcakes are welcome. Rooms come pre-themed, so outside decorations aren't allowed.
How does payment work?
The deposit is non-refundable. The balance is due in full on the day of the party, and an 18% gratuity goes to our staff.
